It's all fun and games until someone throws up on the pool deck, or changes a diaper and leaves the dirty one lying around. Trust me, I used to be a country club lifeguard. People at high class joints can be just as trashy as anywhere else. I couldn't wait to leave that place at the end of the summer.

Are we talking about an up-all-night-with-anxiety-because-you-dread-work-the-next-day kind of job? I've had a couple of those as a student supporting myself on my own. But there was light at the end of the tunnel. Couldn't imagine having to deal with that now, but I would if I had to. So much time spent at work; it would be pretty disheartening to be miserable for over a third of your day, not counting the misery that carries over between shifts.
