How many of you drink alcohol at lunch on work day?

I go out to lunch every day with my coworkers, but no one ever orders alcohol. Very laid back office - Every function outside of work, everyone gets hammered.

If I ever eat out, which is maybe once every 4 months, I'll order one drink.

Keep a glass of bourbon in my desk. When really stressed I pour a single glass.

i don't b.c i would fall asleep after lunch. Sometimes I am at a work lunch and someone orders a beer. Never seems to be a problem.
I have gotten soused at lunch before but the intention of the office was not to go back to work.

I have before. Not so much in recent years. Like someone else mentioned, a good practice is to follow the boss's lead.

Maybe once or twice a month I'll have a beer. It's usually when I know I'm leaving early for a happy hour anyway.

Fridays is always a wet lunch, but then again I get off at noon on Fridays.

Not every day. I drink a beer at lunch once or twice a week, though.
Every couple of weeks, the office managers here at Nike bring around a cart in the afternoon with ice, beer, wine, and hard cider for everyone to drink at their desk.
They also have 3 beers and 2 wines on tap in the company cafeteria here, so that sends a strong signal to the employees that it is OK to embibe. It is not OK to get drunk at lunch, though.

I just can't do it. I tried it a couple times and I have friends that can go do a bloody mary or a beer at lunch, it makes me drowsy and slows down the rest of my day. My thing is this if I'm not going to try to get a decent buzz on I'm not going to go for 1-2 I need the 5-6 drink full monty. Hence I don't even bother drinking at lunch. I'll drink on a Thursday night or the weekends when I go out.

One drink at lunch is not a big deal and would not hinder my performance in any way.

Fairly rarely. It's normal in New Orleans for lawyers to drink at lunch. It is not normal in Houston.

People like to think it is, but it's not common for New Orleans lawyers to drink at lunch. Maybe on Friday, but then they are not coming back to the office.
