Been on a DoorDash delivery kick lately especially with the surge in demand over the holidays. I bought a little Acura RSX project/toy car to scoot around ATL in and the gas mileage makes it a pretty profitable ordeal. I can make upwards of 100 or so per night after fuel and operational expenses factored in. Helps pay for my model train binge purchases and drinks at bars.

Any of you do DD or similar in your cities? Uber and Lyft ridesharing honestly suck in my experience. The profit per mile pales in comparison to DD and you have to deal with passengers and their shite.

I would delete model trains and alcohol from my life before I would get a side gig to fund it. But I’m lazy like that.

Started doing Lyft last year. I just drink through a case while I’m driving around. Kills two birds.

How convenient. I bet he has a totally real supermodel girlfriend in Canada too, but she has this rare disease where she can’t have her picture taken

Just after retirement, I tried Uber eats for a few days and got locked in near the LSU campus, then Uber would have one waiting on me the same area.

It didn't work out for me, plus I was driving a pickup truck and the gas cost was eating me up and fuel was relatively cheap those days.

Then along came Corona so I shut it down.

I thought about doing it a year or so ago. If they're being honest, a lot of youtubers that were doing it were making around $250-300 a day early in the pandemic.

Have you ever tried instacart? I think that I'd rather do something like that. The guy that brought my groceries the other day said that he was filling two other grocery orders while he was working on mine.

Every time that I try to place a delivery order with Walmart, they are booked solid for the entire week, so the demand for this service doesn't seem to be fading.

I have a bud who is into it, very impressive stuff. I see how it could be a money pit.

I'd love to find a hobby that could score a little extra coin. I don't really need the money, but I'll always take it, and I dont need to be sitting around watching TV or playing Warzone anyway.

I assign and officiate HS sports and youth soccer in NW Georgia. Make pretty decent bank doing it and write off all the expenses on my taxes as they are 1099 or cash payments.

I did Uber when it was new to Nola in 2013-14 and did really well, $200+/nt a few days a week in the evenings. Then people started catching on and it wasn’t worth it anymore. Airport runs were very profitable back then from what I remember.
