The law doesnt really matter. Nothing is ever enforced on the 4th.

American enough to want to keep my three-year-old asleep and wake up at 5 AM for fricking work without hearing artillery shells going off all night.

In a large enough quantity, fireworks are ordinance.

I'll be going to sleep at 9pm so I hope they are done by then.
I live in downtown BR though so I might have to grab the silicon earplugs.

My neighborhood is getting pretty cranked up too...I am good with it until around 10 or 10:30...then I will just grin and bear it, I suppose.

My neighbors started setting off huge fireworks at 5pm & haven't stopped. Whyyyy? Seems like a waste of money when it's broad daylight.

'Murica much?

Don't be such a crabby person. The kids today are doing the same things we did as kids on this holiday.

Trashy neighbors are parking and lighting all their fireworks in front of our house next to one of our cars. Could easily just do it in front of their house but nope

That said, IDGAF

Sounds like a land invasion over here, too, but didn't really zone in on it until this thread. I don't mind, we were still shootin' 'em up until a few years ago. My dog is definitely NOT digging it though.

If the next day isn't a work day, then I can live with someone doing them until midnight or 12:30 (though I don't prefer it). If the next day is a work day (like this year) then I think it is courteous to stop by at least 11:00pm or so.

10:00 on a school night seems a more than reasonable time to shut it down.

If tonight was a Saturday, I'd say live and live, but it's a Tuesday. There's no reason to have explosions up and down the street this late. We have work tomorrow, they just woke up my son, and that in turn woke my wife and I up.

My neighbors are still going pretty strong right now, and I find myself getting pissed because I need to go to sleep so I can get to work in the morning. Is this what getting old feels like?
