Never smoked, quit drinking about 30 years ago, just lost interest in it, have never missed it.

Can't drink any O'Douls?
I'm having an O'Douls amber right now. I still drink alcoholic beer, but sometimes I want to be able to have a few beers (strictly for taste) and not risk feeling bad on my Saturday.
The O'Douls amber isn't too bad. It tastes more like beer than the other watered down, NA beers I've tried.

Wanted to lose some weight, so I gave up alcohol and all starches until Easter. Been 10 days now without bread, rice, pasta and alcohol.
So far, lost 7 pounds. Not missing alcohol, but I am taking Valarian and St. John's Wort for "relaxation". It's like taking herbal xanax.

There are so many fantastic drugs out there. Nicotine and alcohol are two of the worst.

I've never been a smoker and rarely drink anymore. Good news is no hangovers and I generally feel pretty good. Better news is when I do drink I'm an extremely cheap date.

Don't take Valerian with St. John's Wort. You will zonk out for about eight hours. Valerian can make you really sleepy or it can give you a nice sense of calmness. St. John's Wort is a good herbal alternative for anti-anxiety drugs. Works for me. Personal recommendation: try two capsules every day for a week, then increase dosage until you feel it is working. I take three capsules a day. Literally like Xanax without the bad side effects.

Whatever gets you through the day as long as you're not harming anyone. Every day after work first thing I do I fix a hookah and roll a j.
