How hard would it be to adjust back to a world without the Internet and smartphones?

In other words back to a time before the early 90's. None of this message board stuff and no phone to look at for the answers.

Want to order something? Mail off a sheet cut out of a catalog with limited information.

If people still have memory of the technology and its just taken away... it would be chaos

I would love for it to be like the 80s and 90s. I wish there was no such thing as internet and smartphones. The World and families would be a lot better

I don't think it would be too tough.

I broke a phone a few years ago with about 2 weeks until my next upgrade. I decided to just wait 2 weeks to buy a new one.

The first few days SUCKED. But after about a week I didn't even think about my phone. Never had an urge to feel for it and look something up or surf the web or text anyone. After 2 weeks I didn't even care that I didn't have a phone.

The largest downside I see now with technology is how we become virtual tribalists. Too many self segregate into camps and deem others differing from them to be "the problem".

I don't think it would be that hard for me. I spent over half my life without those things and I view my cell phone as a burden anyways. My kids would die.

early 90s?!?!?! hell, I worked for a global firm in 1998 and we didn't get beepers and bag phones until 2000.

Back to the question, i would love it.

I would miss Wikipedia, tigerdroppings, and porno. Asian group anal creampies would be tough to see without it.
