Somehow I got into a YouTube sprinting video watching rabbit hole and have spent the last hour watching some of the greatest 100, 200 and 400 races in history. I also watched a bunch of videos of Michael Johnson analysing Usain Bolt's famous races. It is amazing to see an expert break down a video frame by fame and show how inefficient Bolt is in the first 20m of a race, and then how to makes up for it by turning the turbos on between the 40-70m mark and just leaves everyone in the dust with his long strides.

So it got me wondering, do you think you can run a sub-12 second 100m race?

If I trained, yes. I was sub-12 before I moved to distance

It would take longer than I'd last with an OT 10.

I run it around 11 seconds. Have sprint my whole life. For reference, the fastest girls high school 100m is like 10.6 i think.

That 10.6 smokes me....It's insane to think these olympic sprinters run that far(100m) in the mid to uppers 9s. 11 seconds looks like a jog compared to 9.58

My fastest time was like a 12.7 so um sure it would be around 13.5 now.

I'm built for comfort over speed

No chance I could now.

Ran a 10.9 100M and 23.6 200M in high school.

That was 5,000 cigs and 30 kegs of beer ago.
