How far are we from partial game tickets?

To sporting events. At the Astros game, 5-5 tie in the 9th, and I'd say at least half the people that were here for the first pitch have already left. People coming and going throughout the entire game which is a pretty common occurance.
Same can be said for Rockets games as well as LSU games regardless of scores.
With people's attention span at an all time low, when will team owners increase profits by selling seats by the quater, half, or inning?

There are ideas out there suggesting as people leave a game early, they can hand in their ticket stub and then the ballpark/ arena could allow people that have gotten on a waiting list to take that seat.....much like a restaurant works. I'm sure it would be young people/ poor people waiting but at least the place wouldn't be empty. Related to this idea is if a seat is empty after a certain amount of time after the game starts, the venue could re-sale that seat. If you are running late you could call in or go online to hold your seat. But so many seats are bought by corporations/ companies that go Unused its obscene.

It would be more profitable to have No people than poor people.
Because people with money don't want to be around a bunch of poor people and their shenanigans.
