My cousin is spouting off about how gun control would keep things like the current situation in Cali from happening. I am just laughing at her... Asked her what her thoughts are on how gun control trip can keep a psychotic from being a psychotic... People can purchase or obtain firearms and seem completely normal... Yet then they kill people.

How do u respond to these people who think that the problem is our laws and not the individual?

Gun control is highly critical.

Sight picture, trigger squeeze, breath control, muzzle awareness, etc. All of these things are highly important.

This is circulating around the internet right now, arguing FOR gun control and showing that stronger gun control leads to less gun violence. Just passing along for the discussion...not taking a position

You should point out how CA has some of the strictest gun laws of ANY state in the U.S.

How'd that work out?

You have to understand that people who spout "gun control" don't actually think it through.

In their simple world, the government would declare guns illegal, all citizens would turn them in the next day and rainbows would automatically form across the country as unicorns grazed unmolested and people were safe.

They don't at all understand that a few background checks don't mean shite.

A good pistol whipping should do the trick.

Ask her how many people driving in cars have killed people. Ask her how many people flying in aircraft have been killed. Ask her how many people have died while on commuter trains.

Ask her how to control planes, trains and automobiles too while she is spouting off about guns.

It certainly wont really stop anything, but I also so see how the other side gets so outraged when people talk about gun control. I doesnt hurt to at least attempt to make it more difficult for lunatics to get their hands on automatic weapons.

But yeah crazy people will still do crazy things regardless.

Same argument I make to people who feel the need to walk around armed all the time.

Gun-control advocates are some of the dumbest, most dishonest POS's across the political/social spectrum. I look at them the same way I would a dog turd on an expensive rug.

I don't.

They are morons and there's no dissuading them from their stupidity.
