I had never met her. She saw me playing basketball in a weekend tournament and asked one of her friends to speak to me about being my girlfriend.
BTW we were in the 6th grade and still going strong although I can no longer impress her with my basketball skills lol as we are now approaching the age of 60

People are different. I have been ready to settle down for a couple of years now and I'm only in college. I know of guys 5-10 years older who aren't ready to settle down and guys 5 years younger who are ready. Not everyone wants to put a bunch of tallies on the wall before finding a wife.
