How bad will Hangout Fest traffic be Friday afternoon in Alabama?

I am suppose to go to Orange Beach this weekend.I understand that Hangout Fest is this weekend. How bad will traffic be if I take the express toll straight to Orange Beach and bypass Gulf Shores completely? I will be leaving Covington at 4:30 on Friday. It wasn't bad at all last weekend without the fest but if yall tell me I am going to sit for hours in traffic I will probably stop in Bay St.Louis at the camp and leave super early Saturday morning.

Beach express always deserted. Problem is when you hit 180/161. Also im sure Mobile will suck before tunnel. Take 65 to Afrikatown bridge.

nahhh just going for the beach and my moms birthday. No way I am sitting in that traffic Sunday so I plan to roll out Monday at 4am and head straight to work

I'd be more worried about getting through the tunnel in Mobile than the beach express down to OB

I guess I will check the traffic on my phone and make a decision on whether to take the tunnel or bypass it. Maybe everyone will already be at Hangout fest since I will be hitting the tunnel around 6:15pm on Friday

You should start vacationing along the TX, LA and MS gulf coast. It would really cut down on traffic and let us Alabama folks enjoy our beaches

I'm headed down there for the Hangout kickoff tomorrow night. Then going going to a wedding in West Mobile Friday night staying over there Friday night. Going back to Orange Beach/Hangout until Tuesday.
