How are HS basketball power rankings calculated?

I know there’s a formula that’s dependent upon your teams classification, classification of opponents and winning percentage but I can’t seem to find a definitive answer? Anybody know.
I’m curious because one of my family member’s team eeked in and another local team with a similar record and seemly tougher schedule was just barely out.

Opponents win percentage x34 (x44 if you are a B or C school) plus play up points.
Opponents Wins / Opponents total games played
That number times 34/44.
Then take your result and add 2 points per class you're playing up, if any.

To find your team's total power ranking, add up the power points from every game and divide by however many games you play.

Head coaches retreat to secluded corners and commence shoving baby carrots up their anus
They then compete in a series of events that include (hopscotch, tug of war, and potato sack race)
At the competition of all events all carrots are counted and this determines ranking system
This is completed weekly of course.

You should use WAAWNBAT (prononouced "wombat"). It's similar to WAR in baseball, but instead of wins compared to a replacement player, you're calculating how many wins above .500 the team would be if it played a whole WNBA season.
Note that this figure is not bounded by the actual number of games in a WNBA season, since that would be inadequate to express exactly how badass the boy's varsity basketball team is at your typical TD poster's local high school.
