Houston isn't really known for its BBQ. You have to get further north and west for that.

I enjoy eating at Brennar's on the Bayou, Vic & Anthony's, Del Frisco's, Grotto, Max's Wine and Dive, El Tiempo Cantina and Lupe Tortilla while I am in Houston.

Lupe has great, thin homemade flour tortillas. Their Mexican corn on the cob is fantastic.

El Tempo Cantina has better beef fajitas though. The perfect combination would be to take the tortillas from Laure and pair them with the beef fajitas from El Tiempo Cantina with a side of grilled corn on the cob.

Eat:

Roost
Just Dinner on Dunlavy
Mockingbird Bistro
BRC

BBQ:

Killen's BBQ

Nightlife:

Not really my thing, but just go to midtown. Anvil and stones throw for cocktails. Julep for happy hour. Flying saucer, hay merchant and mongoose vs cobra for beer. West alabama ice house for the best bar in the city.
