Mrs. Phyllis the bartender from Creole Lanes has went on to meet her maker. Here's to the strongest drinks around Mrs. Phyllis, you will be missed.

I remember going there for $5 dollar pitchers once. It wasn't limited to beer. Don't know if it was a great deal or if she just dgaf. $5 for a pitcher of crown and coke and White Russians was a hell of a deal.

When I rode in Hercules we had our monthly float meetings there. At the time I was 23-24 and could really put some alchohol down. I drank 2 of them Long Island Iced Teas and could barely walk out that place. I think it was the styrofoam cup that did me in.

I'll always remember her opening can beer with a spoon too, and she never got in a rush.

That's because if you open enough with your fingernail it'll fall off, been there done that. I just served them unopened, it was faster.
