Hospital food sucks

just had mystery meat meatloaf that I swear to God had arteries running through it, rice that tasted like fricking cardboard, gravy that looked like it leaked out of somebody's arse, and old yellow broccoli

I miss the hospital meals.
When I was working in the ER and a patient got discharged but still got a meal, I would take them and stick them in the fridge with my name on it. I loved it!

This is why I always just bring my lunch. Course...at night they have very limited food options in the cafeteria. If I ever have to get food there...I always stick to salad bar...safest bet.

Depends on the hospital bra. I've had some good meals. Also depends on if they serve a bland recipe to the patients and better seasoned unhelathier version to visitors and employees

Oh the nights/mornings of raiding vending machines to find food once the cafeteria closes down

There are some perks of working on the peds floor. Goldfish crackers and some fruit roll ups with a pudding cup on the side is one of them

That is too bad, in Scottsdale our hospitals serve gourmet food. I used to go to the cafeteria for lunch sometimes when I worked by one, so bomb!

We always had the juice boxes and crackers for the diabetics. So those made quick snacks too. I would just call up to the old ladies in the cafeteria and they would bring down refills if I ate or drank all of them

BR General Bluebonnet has great food. I worked at Ochsner across the street and would walk over to BRG for the food
