I started beating him when I was about 15. Before he just backed me down and shot over me.

My dad never played games with us outside. However every 4th of July me and my cousins would play our uncles in bball. I would say when we all got to be juniors/seniors in high school, we started beating the shite out of them. Before that, they'd school us.

My pops is the most competitive person i've ever met. Frequent elbows, nut checks, and shoves on drives to the hoop. I beat him first at 18 but after that basketball became closer to rugby.

My dad is a football guy, so I was in highschool when I started beating him with all the fouls he commits.

My dad was a stud in basketball. I have beaten him maybe twice in my life and its still difficult to this day. He can pull up from anywhere.

I was probably 14 or so and won only because I was taller than him. He could shoot from outside really well. Found out he was a good point guard in high school back in the 50's. He had some of the old uniforms they wore back then, they were stored in a closet when he became assistant principal at the school and he took his old jersey. The old silky style like in Hoosiers.

College. And barely and just because I could out hustle his old arse.

Old man plays rough and doesn't miss from 10 ft. Same spot on the floor and shoots from above his head. I swear he shoots 80% from there.

I definitely threw the baseball and football with my dad as much as we played basketball. He didn't say they competed against each other.

Never beat him. Not once. The closest I came was right after I graduated high school. I went up 10-0 on him and started talking all kinds of shite. Lost 12-10.

It ended up being the last time we would ever get to play each other.

I let my six year old take a game of horse on Sunday. I made it close so he'd get a boost. My nine year old daughter schools me in horse. She's a good jump shooter. They're not really old enough to play a real one on one.
