Nobody is forcing them to be a prison guard. I applaud them for have a job and showing up for work. And I would support putting AC in the guard shacks etc.
Hell I went to high school (mid 80's) with no AC and half the fans didnt work. We were fine. Its like people dont realize AC has only been around and in most buildings for 75 years or so.

Nope. Plenty of people outside that prison live in worse conditions.
