One of two things is going on here; 1)you were super popular in high school and they can't imagine a reunion without you, 2)there is no reunion and this is an elaborate setup by friends and family to have an intervention concerning your pornography addiction.

floated around that my high school reunion (think it was the 25th) was going to have a schedule that included a Friday night event where spouses weren't invited.

we did that for our 10th. the next night was for everyone.

had a great time

I still keep in touch with the 2-3 friends I hung out with in high school. Rest I couldn't care less about.

This for the most part. The group right outside of that is on Facebook...so if I'd REALLY need to know something about them or them about me, I could do it.

Otherwise...eh.

In order for me to go, I'd have to take a day off close to finals. Schools up here don't let out until June. I also live about 2,600 miles away from where I went to high school

Standard is to do what you want.. You're supposed to be an adult by now.

My 20th is this year and I look forward to the events. Facebook and such cant replace seeing certain people you dont see often or at all.. Im also a curious man by nature so these events intrigue me

I'm sure they will. After high school I didn't talk to any of them, I wasn't in the cool kids group.
that's me also, my 30 year is this year. I couldn't stand most of them and I don't even like going though
that area ( Ponchatoula ) to this day

Your a grown man, do as you need to do and it's nobody elses bidness.

My class rocked, we have had them every 5 years, just had our 30th and had a blast. Good time with the class of 83.

What's the standard protocol on these?

I graduated in 00. My class is pretty close, and my reunion was awesome. It was packed, booze was flowing, spent all day downtown, we got the same DJ that used to do our school dances (and is also a graduate), and the security guards had to literally kick us out of Pat Os on the River when time was up.

My wife graduated two years after I did. Her reunion was terrible. Same clics from high school formed up, there wasn't a lot of interaction between groups, and everyone left early. I've been told that this is more of the norm for reunions. All of my other friends that didn't graduate with me or my wife echoed that.

I'm not. That post was the summary of the last text I sent to them telling them for about the fifth time I can't go. I get on average about three text a day asking if I'm going because they are struggling to get people to go

I didn't want to go to my 25th, but decided to go at the last minute. Glad I did, had a really good time catching up.

I considered going to my 20th, then I got the invitation and I felt anxious about the whole thing. Plus, there was all sorts of shite going on during the weekend, not just one single event. And I think it was the weekend of a big LSU football game. So I said frick it. Why go to something that makes me uncomfortable to have awkward conversations with people I haven't spoken to in 20 years?
