You would think the police departments would start investing in some taser guns. You're never going to get on the race baiters radar for just tazing people

The guy was guilty of something.Suspicious behavior.He didn't obey the cops' order to get on the ground.Instead he ran to his apartment.
I just think by taking on the guy by himself the cop caused what escalated into him killing the guy.

Any time I've ever had a cop give me an order to stop doing something i freakin stopped, immediately. I'll do whatever they say when they say it - then if there's misconduct we can work that out in the courts

I guess they don't make tasers...pepper spray or anything anymore...if you can't make an arrest without going to the extreme without it being absolutely necessary, you shouldn't be a cop.

It's tough enough for a cop to get ahold of a situation as it is as their guns aren't scaring them enough for them to comply. Pull out a taser or pepper spray and it only gets worse. Here's a novel idea. Don't run from the cops, don't fight the cops, don't get shot. It's pretty simple really.

Yeah but the point is that the cop can whip out the taser before the situation escalates to the point where the cop thinks he's in a life or death struggle and has to use lethal force.

My Posts were kind of knee jerk reactions.It's been several years since I've even been stopped for a traffic ticket.
I agree that it wouldn't have gone beyond an arrest if the guy would have complied with the Police Officers 1st "order".
It just seems that deadly force is being used when it didn't have to go down that way.
