I also heard "no breach" several times on WAFB. They make it seem as if this is bad news.

This was updated today in the 9:00 hr.

IBERVILLE PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
A mandatory evacuation order was issued Monday morning for people who live on the east side of LA 30 in the Bayou Paul area.

Officials said the water levels rose 8" to 10" in the area overnight. A shelter is open at East Iberville Elementary and High School at 3285 LA 75 in St. Gabriel.

Breach along the east bank in Iberville Parish along the Ascension Parish line has caused some flooding for the parish and prompted the opening of a shelter.

Iberville Parish President Mitchell Ourso confirms that the breach happened along Bayou Manchac. He said that a sand bags are being made at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center.

Residents on Bayou Manchac Road are advised to evacuate as water on Bayou Manchac is expected to crest around 1 a.m. Monday at a predicted, record-breaking 21.5 foot. Officials urge residents to take all necessary precautions to remain safe.

American Red Cross opened a shelter at the East Iberville Elementary and High schools on Sunday evening.

its like squeezing their cock right before they jizz. they are really pathetic when they sound this way. intentional or not.

they should be happy for people. not sad for their perceived drop in rating because the bad news wasn't true.

I'm back of Ridge Rd. They freaked us out by saying breach as well. I rode down to the ascension side and it's coming over the road top alot. Parish work says levee is still intact but the road top is buckling.

Any update with bayou Paul for the saint Gabriel area on hwy 30? Most people feel better about it but after seeing the fast stream from bayou manchac flowing over on wbrz I'm still nervous.

I don't know the current status because we left hours ago. Figured it wasn't worth risking it.

Before we left hours ago the parish called and said that the Mandatory Evacuation was cancelled, but "stay vigilant". Whatever that means.
