In the past I have just rented clubs, but I am flying to a charity tournament and would like to bring my own clubs.

What are the rules about these cases now? I have soft one from about 2006, but I feel like I've heard airlines only allow or insure certain brands or styles (hard case)?

Any idea what I need to get or if what I have is ok? Only certain brands allowed? etc.

I have a club glove. They have never questioned me.

I know Delta and Southwest are a little more lenient than others.

Oh cool. What a good business idea. If I can't use my bag, I might check this out.

Just flew with mine a month ago on Delta and it couldn't be easier. Borrowed this bag and it's soft sided.

I flew three weeks ago on United and Delta with a soft sided roller and no one cared what kind of bag it was.

Soft Case will make you sign the back of the luggage tag releasing them of general damage to the clubs.

Hard Case they'll cover anything.

I've had a soft case (on my second one) for 6 years. Goes with me about 10 times a year...no issues other than general wear/tear on the exterior. The top by the clubheads is extensively padded and there's buckles on the interior to keep the bag from shifting.

That's what I was looking for.

I have a Club Glove and used it this past weekend for the 5th time in a year. Airlines won't insure it, but I've never had any issues.

Flat and hot. Sort of like Louisiana.

I miss playing golf in Colorado.

Was like $75 on Amazon.

Probably not the best, but my clubs at used value are only worth about $400-$500 so I didn't see the need to essentially insure them with at $300 case.

My putter is the most valuable thing in my bag no doubt. Rest of my clubs have a lot of use and are 7+ years old.

My Scotty is my baby though.

Think FedEx and UPS will ship them as well. Nice to have them waiting at your hotel or the course.

Yea for $55 each way. If you have a free checked bag, you might as well buy a travel case of your preference and call it a day.

I have this same case and have used it extensively to travel between Texas, Louisiana, and California with no trouble. Definitely recommend it.

Yea I like mine. It can also double as a small coffin in a pinch.
