Help me to understand something about these vaccines

Everyone that gets covid, the doctor says that they’ll only have a 3 month immunity to the virus. So if this virus is like the flu, that means there’s no lifelong immunity to it like chicken pox or other viruses we’ve seen. What’s the point of a vaccine then? How can a vaccine work if the antibodies only last for 3 months in your body. Are we going to have to take this vaccine every 3 months or something? How is the vaccine going to be the end game for this virus whenever it won’t give you a lifelong immunity or some kind of immunity that’ll last for years?

The flu has had a vax and still kills upwards of 60k a year.
No way in hell am I injecting something in my body with a 99.98% FULL recovery rate.

Yes, I read an article yesterday that only 5 people worldwide have been reinfected. But I’ve also heard anecdotal stories of people being reinfected so who knows.

Where did you see that it only provides immunity for 3 months? The only thing I've seen was Fauci saying that there's a chance it may not provide immunity for very long.
Because of how this has been fast tracked, there isn't enough data available at this point about the durability of the vaccine.

I guess there really hasn’t been enough time since the virus broke out to truly know how long the immunity lasts. I heard the immunity lasted 3 months and then those articles came out saying the immunity lasts for years. I’m just tired of contradicting news and facts

I had Covid in April and still have antibodies. If you lose antibodies in 3 months maybe natural selection should take place.
