RLC flight from Venice to Patterson overdue. Pilot and 1 passenger. That's all the details right now.

Search area is only a few miles away to the SW of my location. I'm about 2.5 miles north of the hospital.

RLC bird in the area doing a search pattern it seems. So glad I took a pay cut to never have to go offshore again.

I got a raise to leave it. Strictly land now. I spent 20 years in the GOM and I'm done with it.

Per KATC:

quote:

Deputies in Lafourche Parish are currently investigating a reported helicopter crash.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced they are investigating the report of the crash near the west side of the South Lafourche Levee System.

The crash was reported by a concerned citizen, they say.

No additional information was available, they say. This story will be updated.

Sounds like a marsh landing for a chip light. Nobody hurt.
