I've had to work outside several days this week, mostly in the shade. I drink fluids and sweat like crazy.

I feel like crap afterwards. Cool off indoors and take a cold shower. Sometimes drink lemonade.

Is the heat taking it's toll on anyone else. What do you do to get relief?

I'd freeze a half gallon of clean water in a gallon jug, fill it with water in the morning and take it with.

Then I'd grab a bandanna and pour the cold water on it and wrap it around neck and let each end dangle.

Soak another bandanna in cold water and rub on face to refresh self at will

it worked for me....

Get you a long sleeve under armour heat gear shirt. They keep the sun off your arms and once you sweat, they get wet and keep you cool.

I have several for when I'm out in the sun/ heat for long periods of time.

I keep vodka in a spray mist bottle, spritz it on me and then wipe it off. It cools me off and gets that sticky feeling off of you.

I had a large supply of SKYY vodka and don't drink so that's what I did with it. I kept it in the cooler when we were doing roofs after Gustav so it would be extra cool.

Haha. I live in San Diego and am waiting at the airport to pick up my parents. They're flying in from new orleans and I can't wait to see their reaction to the weather here.
