Hearing there’s an active shooter situation at the Walmart in Kenner UPDATE: False Alarm

Update from KPD:

From Kenner police:

At 12:15 PM Kenner Police received a call of a possible shooter inside of the Walmart store located at 300 West Esplanade Kenner.

Initial reports from officers arriving on scene it is possibly electrical arcing coming from back of store that sounded like gunfire.

There have been no reports of anyone shot.

Officers are now actively searching the store for victims or armed suspects.

As now none have been found.


Multiple police units flying down Loyola and W Esplanade.
