You, your employer or both will be hit with a 40 percent tax in 2018 on the premiums over a total of $27.5K for families, $10.2K for individuals.

This post just goes to show you that premiums are all over the board. Anything run the Washington is so screwed up.

I have my own insurance as I am self employed. And it's over $500 a month. Plus they dropped my co pay. Gonna have to look around. My insurance has gonne up pretty much $100 every year since Obama care.

This only applies to those who have an individual plan
Group plans are partially subsidized by there employer.
However,The problem with those receiving a subsidy/tax credit is that they are receiving additional benefits (cost share reduction) due to income/household size. They are getting free money to pay for deductibles/co-pays and most of the middle class and all of those that are in the upper middle are up a creek (they don't qualify for the CSR)
They aren't aware of the real premium which are completely out of control. Prices have jumped another 30+ percent from 2015. Premiums have now increased over 100% since the ACA has taken control.
I make my living selling BCBS but now I'm just trying to save my current block of business.
