If my company is accurate, together we are paying the insurance company 31,200 dollars a year for my policy (1200 a pay period) and that's just the mid-level option. The premium option would have been double/triple that.

That's ridiculous. Thanks voters.

I may not have the coolest or best job, but damn I'm thankful that they have good benefits. My coverage isn't going up a cent this year.

That just sounds entirely too high. You had to have been looking at something wrong. Maybe you are seeing the total cost between you and your company. Even that seems high.

Holy shite. They must be just pounding those with a certain income. Even someone with a good education and income would be totally devastated by that.

That's a pretty nice new vehicle every single year. Wow.

That is the total cost. I'm paying 560 a month (well actually over 600 if you consider the extra pay periods)

I am paying $500 for wife and me for 2016. It went down by $15.

BC/BS "standard" PPO. not what you would call platinum, but pretty good if you stay in plan for your providers/hospital choices.

1200 sounds more like a monthly premium to me. Which is still absurd.

I'm paying nearly twice as much now for about 2/3's the coverage than before Obama made health care affordable.

I think I must have read together as you and your wife and not you and your company.

I recently found out my provider, Assurant, is no longer providing any medical for next year so I need to go on the marketplace and find a new provider. I currently pay $426 a month but I have the best coverage anyone could ever want, I am scared that it is going to be much higher if I want the same coverage next year. One good thing is that in my zip code insurance is 30-40% cheaper than most zip codes in the USA but still....

Just reworked my insurance at work today and it went up to a whopping $54 for Health, Dental, and Vision.

You're thanking the wrong people. You should be thanking the insurance companies.

Are you high deductible plan though? No way that's PPO.

Family of 4 $480 per month. Although I'm nervous now because I haven't enrolled for 2016 yet.

We pay $900 and my wife's employer pays part of portion. So yeah, I can certainly see that as accurate.

Oh, and thanks Obama.
