Got Facebook my freshman year of college in 2006 back when it was for college students only and basically consisted of a wall and photos. No timeline, no apps, no fluff.
Stopped using it a few years ago when I realized:
1. I don't care what other people think or are doing
2. People don't care what I think or am doing
Never got a twitter.
Today I only use instagram, post maybe 1 photo a week. And the only people I am friends with/are friends with me are family and really close friends, i.e. people I see regularly.

I made a Twitter account just to get the ferry updates. That's how DOT sends them out. I've since stopped needing to use the ferry and I don't even know how to log into my Twitter
