I have female friends, but we don't go on dates. I don't take my guy friends out and pay for their dinner, and buy them flowers. They are friends. If I'm taking a girl out, the intention is to see if there will be sex in the future.
I know that sounds bad, but a lot of girls just aren't cool enough to hang around with. And if they are, you end up fricking them anyway and that ends the friendship.
