So.... How much do you owe? It's the difference between the hospital and the morgue so be honest with us!

I owed this Russian guy some money one time. We called him Teddy KGB, but I beat him at poker to win all my money back.

So other than that, no. I'm done with with those sordid types of people.

Not a loan shark, but a bookie. Was down $500 and told him to piss off because the way he had me set up on his site it was nearly impossible to break even once you got down. And he had it set where I had to pay if I was down $200, but I didn't get paid until I was up $500. He was trying to scam me because he thought since I was young and hadn't bet with a bookie before that I would just go with it.

If you knew these details before hand you would be an idiot to bet with him, and if you didnt know before hand you should have.

The only bookie I ever dealt with would front you the same amount you gave him. If you gave him $500, he gave you $500 credit so you had $1000 to bet with and you settled before the playoffs. Everything was talked about in a face to face meeting. He was a business man and treated me with respect. If you won $1000, you got paid. If you went broke you had to pay $1000. Great guy but he wasnt available 24/7 so I quit using him.If he had a website setup I would still use him. If you didnt pay him, it didnt matter, he already had your money. If you bet with him for years then the whole thing was on credit.

He told me the details beforehand, but I didn't really comprehend that this wasn't the norm and how much it worked against me until I was already betting.
I was 21 and just being exposed to sports betting and learning how it all worked and until then had only made a handful of bets with coworkers, no bookies. When explaining he made it sound like he was setting it up that way to help me learn like he was being a good guy.
Only bet with the guy for 3 weeks before I realized how fricked it was and told him I wasn't going to pay him.

in my drug days i only dealt with one guy. professional, no nonsense, great product. he knew i had a great job and basically i had about a.....1000 dollar line of credit. anything under that i could call him and put it on my tab and he was good as i was always good for it.

one day i had completed a project and got a 5,400 dollar check from a client that i had known for a while.. it was friday, wasnt shite to do, i caall my guy up and tell him to bring me a quarter and some dros .. all in all about 700. tell him i'd settle wtih him the following wednesday when the check clears. no problem he's there in 10 mins.

wednesdsaay comes, the check bounces...he's knows i'm gonna pay but he's trying to re up i tookk like 1/4th of his shite lol. he can't re up without my money and the weekend is coming up and he's pissed off. so; by thursday hes white hot mad.

i had another job that i had just finished that paid me 1000 so until i get the shite settled wtih 5400 dollar guy i go to the bank and cash the 700 dollar check. call him up, his sister answers his phone hes been arrested parole violation. go from having to pay 700 and about to die to a free dope party lol

by the time he got out i had long moved out of state

Had a roommate once up $1000 to a college bookie. Bookie wouldn't pay and kept making excuses, even claimed the check was in the mail a few times. So my roommate kept betting with him until he was down $1000 and then stopped and wouldn't pay. The bookie and his friends would call and make threats. We gave him our address and said come on over. They never did and nothing else happened after that. However these were just college kids and not hardcore gangsters.
