I waited 5-10 minutes at the store the other day because this woman was short like 86 cents, and went out to her car to dig up the change. When she was walking back to the door I noticed that she had a big fast food bag stuffed with trash and dropped into the trash out front. I guess she thought that it was the perfect time to wrangle all of the trash from her car and throw it away, while me and like 3 people were waiting on her to check out.

Stories like this really make me appreciate the soup nazi and wish there were more restaurant owners/managers like him……

Oh, I had one of these once.
Saturday Spring morning at the U-haul rental place so there is a big line of people in the U-haul office renting trucks to move that day (already a frustrating experience). Some miserly older man at the front of the line was picking up a trailer and a trailer hitch that they had attached to his car.
So he starts going through the bill line by line and complaining. "I thought this was $49.99, why did you you charge me $56?" Followed by "well you see sir that's the price with tax added".
This goes on and on while everybody in the line groans. Finally the dude realizes they charged him for labor to install the hitch on his car. "No, no, this won't do!"
He says he would have installed the hitch himself had he known they would charge $20 or whatever. Then he demands that they uncouple the hitch and allow him to go back to their shop and use their tools so he can install it himself and have this small charge removed from his bill.
Kepp in mind 15 people are in line now for over 30 minutes listening to this insanity and everyone was already pissed and edgy because it was moving day. That's when all hell broke lose and to make a long story short I had to break up a fight between two old 65 years olds.

Happens to me every time I go to the local DG. Someone is always .12 cents short and has go to dig in the car. Watched a cashier and customer fist fight once. I've just went and put stuff back before. I ain't got time for all that...

At least 50% of that story is made of for dramatic effect.

I went to my chat GPT and asked “what’s a cool story I can write about on the O-T” and the fricking robot spit this out for me so I pasted it with my fake AI generated pic I posted above

Did either you or the obese lady leave a tip?

Your story was fine and I hate people like that but why the need for 10 csb memes at the end?
You're in the same boat as the inconsiderate person

Most of the general public has no idea how to act in public

Because I posted that for the responses I would have received from this fine group on OT Lounge. I did the work for them because they would have hammered my thread with those meme’s
In other words, I outsmarted them all.

I've given people money when they were a little short for their meal/groceries and not once have I been thanked by that person. One of the more memorable ones was when I was at Wal-Mart and this older guy, unkempt, ratty beard was short like $5 for his groceries. The girl behind him didn't have cash and he was about to cancel his entire transaction(probably $200 worth) so I stepped in and gave him $5. No thank you or anything. Even the cashier noticed that.
After he left, the girl in front of me came back and handed me $5. She legit went to the ATM, got out $20, bought something to make change and handed me $5. I told her thanks but I didn't need it.
The BEST part about all this? When I left, the guy was waiting outside and asked me for a ride. I just ignored him and walked off.

People who have split tickets and orders would be jailed for a year if I was dictator.

I used to work right next to a Subway. It was owned by a really nice Indian dude. Went for lunch one day and the line was getting pretty long and this woolly mammoth was ordering like 3 footlongs and each one she was like, not enough lettuce, wait that's too much, put more pickles, too much, add one back, etc. on each fricking sandwich and it seemed like every sandwich had all the veggies piled on.
This one dude in the back was like HURRY THE frick UP! The lady told the guy "that's good I guess", paid and then left. When the guy who yelled got to the counter to order, the Indian guy told him to get whatever he wanted, on the house.

One time our group was at Chimes on campus and one of the waters sitting on the wall between our tables spilled onto this lady’s shoes (I think she was with her husband and kid)…everything was fine but we apologized twice while she scuffed etc.
I even went up to the server and told her to put their tab on ours and that we would cover it.
I watch the server the tell them their bill is covered, direct their attention over to our table and them proceed to pick up their to go box and immediately walk out.
Some people are true pieces of shite.
