I txt like 98% of the time anyway. I hate calls

And YES, I have READ receipts turned [ON] off

Why? Because I want you to know when I'm ignoring you.

You can't send a dick pic on a phone call.

Nope. Phone calls can get awkward in a hurry. Texts allow you to think through what you want to say.

I'm with you... you can't really get to know someone through text and stupid emojis

Constantly getting texts makes them feel more important than they really are. Plus, they can make you want them more by delayed messages back

Eta a life lesson: It's all about the mind games with girls...all of them

It's easier for women to lie to you over the phone than it is face to face. I'm old fashioned too and believe that any meaningful conversations should be had in person.

This for sure. Id much rather text to anyone than talk on the phone

I guess the general consensus is that nobody really has the time or interest to verbally communicate anymore on the phone. Text messaging is so one dimensional. Has talking on the phone really become that much of a burden? I don't like chatting for extensive amounts of time either, but texting all the time seems pretty lazy and impersonal in my honest opinion.

But I only know how to express emotion through gif format. In person I'm pretty much a robot. TD/internet/txt has fried my brain.

Considering the way you said that, I take it you are not a millennial. I could easily argue that the problem actually stems from the parents of millennials who give their children cell phones when they are 8 years old. Craziest shite I have ever seen in my life. Don't get mad at millennials when its your generation who enables most of the shite people bitch about regarding said millenials.

ETA: I'm a millennial and didn't have my first prepaid flip phone until I was 16. Texts were 5 cents a pop.

I'd rather talk to someone via phone or in person in almost any circumstance than text. Body language and voice inflection mean a lot.

Very true... but, it was a question of text or phone call. I agree with you though, face to face beats them both.

one of the worst components of modern dating are the "texting intervals" that chicks use. some girls go 5 minutes before a response, some 10, some 15 but you can bet your arse it's always exactly 5-10-15 or just off of it. it's all a test to see if you're desperate. once you pass the test is when you get the opposite, which is just as bad and that's texting constantly.

If I want to communicate with them, I'd rather talk. If I have to communicate with them, I'd rather text.
