Any tips?
A few of us are thinking of heading up to the mountains and scaling some cliffs. We are all first time climbers.
TIA

Some. I had a roommate once who fell and nearly died.

You should go with him.
nothing more satisfying as stretching your legs on a long hike

If this is a serious post there's a number of climbing schools in Colorado. Lots of good first time mountains out there too. I'd look at Longs peak and the cables route as a good first technical climb.

and if youre serious, buy the right footwear and socks.

I've had Scarpa trail hikers and runners for the last few years.
If they don't fit in a 44, I'll return them.
I've bought all my Scarpas online.

Done it a bunch. Where y'all going?
You're going to need a trad rack if you want to do more than toproping. Y'all can go climb Sandrock with just quickdraws, it's a fun place.
La Sportiva and Boreal are the two shoe companies I usually stick with for climbers.
