I don't think I've ever seen anything on Pinterest about push presents. Not really sure where that gained so much popularity. Gender reveals and the really elaborate showers and weddings on Pinterest are a different story.
My wife in a Pinterest nut and she just looked up Push Present on it. It is everywhere on Pinterest.
She loves Pinterest but admits it is possibly the worst thing ever invented.

Push that bitch down the stairs if she asks for a push present.

Wife wants one. I'm going to get her a new truck that I drive. Always.

A car seat, diapers and wipes. If you ask for anything else you are being a greedy whore.

that's the same as googling it. searching for "push present" vs seeing everyone you follow pinning push present ideas without seeking it are different.
I admit Pinterest is something that puts too many ideas into girls heads but more in the way of parties/weddings, needing to have a photo shoot/photographer for any occasion, etc

Utterly ridiculous. I am a mom, and I never felt entitled to a "push present." Frankly, the whole self-centered pregnancy thing disgusts me.
My husband and I were thrilled to learn that we were expecting a child. When the ultrasound confirmed my intuition that we were having a daughter, we excitedly called our family to share the news. We didn't stage some dramatic gender reveal party.
The sense of wonder I felt watching a child grow throughout my pregnancy and the incredible love we felt when she was born was all I ever wanted or needed. To demand a "push present" would cheapen such a beautiful experience.
My husband did send me flowers, but that was not something I expected or demanded. It was a lovely gesture from my husband.
The real gift is the life that's been created.
