Stuff is really bad news, but works wonderfully. The dosages I was given years ago are much different than they give now.

Call your doctor. They take these kind of reports very seriously and will work with you to reduce dosage or switch prescriptions.

Those are possible side effects. Are you still on it?

It worked like a miracle for me... best thing ever

I took it my sophomore year in high school and besides some really severe chapped lips from it drying my face out, I had no problems with it. Did suck having to go every other week to have blood test down while taking it however.

I took it in high school. Man that shite was rough on you. Blood tests every other week. Carmex out the arse. I remember i took it during the winter bc they didnt recommend long bouts of sun exposure on it. But all that did was make my face 100x more dry. But hey in 6 months i was cleared up like a mofo

I don't post here much, but feel the need to right now. About a year ago I had pretty bad acne and my doctor put me on Accutane. It completely cleared my acne, but my life has completely flipped since then. Things like anxiety attacks along with other things that are really affecting me. And it's begun to affect my relationships with other people. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Accutane? And things I might be able to do about the anxiety that I've been having?
I took Accutane in high school and it completely cured my acne. I have not had any of the affects you are experiencing, though. Especially not anxiety, but I'm not the personality type to be overly anxious about things.

To be fair, most people go on acutane while mental illness is really starting to take effect.

I was on it 3 different times. I don't think you can stay on it long term. It is more used to treat/cure the problem since it is so strong. My Jr and Sr year in High School, during football season. The sweaty inside of a helmet 3 hours a day made mine bad. It wasn't like I had a face full of pimples. But on both cheeks, and around my temples/forehead, there would be large pink/red splotches. I tried everything first. Face wash with salicylic acid in it, wiping out my helmet after practice with rubbing alcohol, and other acne meds like Oxy/clearasil. But nothing really took care of it like Accutane. The first time, I think I took one pill a day for two months. Never any bad side effects, other than extremely dry skin. It was literally flaking off, and I got addicted to chapstick. The next year I took a pill every other day for two months. The last time I took it was my fall semester in college, freshman year. Same as the 2nd time with the pill every other day. The only downside was that you were supposed to avoid alcohol, which is why I think it sucked that time.

Im on regular accutane generic and have not had any problems. makes my face dry as hell but clears up acne. Does make your muscles ache and makes you get drunk really quick when you first get on it

I actually finished my six months this time last year. And while I was on it I was just a mess. I'm not sure if it's still the drug that it causing my anxiety problems or what, but I've gotten them ever since I started. I didn't tell the people close to me that there was a problem till I was almost done with the med which I shouldn't have done. But ever since then I've just been a very paranoid person which isn't my personality at all. I get upset at the smallest things and I don't realize how small it is till I've already done damage to me and someone's friendship. I've been trying to snap out of it for an entire year now but to no avail. Thanks for the help.

Better be careful there. It can frick up your liver if you drink while on it.

I was on it in high school and it did work, but my lips were constantly chapped.

I made a big mistake one day and went to a waterpark and stayed out in the hot sun all day. Well, I got a bad sunburn. When I got home, I took a shower and the pain was unbearable. It felt like fire ants were all over me. I was hospitalized for two days.

The thing is I kept it close to the vest for to long. Did not tell anyone except my closes friends how bad it was until I was nearly done with my six months. Was just hard for me to admit that I had a huge problem I guess cause I've always been known as a very relaxed and laid back guy. Should have said something earlier
