I have not, but know a number of folks who have....those who follow through with the entire process have found it to be very helpful...

Experience was great. More action than you'd get with a stripper for half the cost. And you still walk out feeling bad about yourself.

Yes. However, I went in to marriage counseling thinking we'd go for a few sessions and learn some tools and be done.
It wasn't that.

No but I have known multiple women who used therapists as a way to get prescription drugs.

Therapist don't prescribe. Psychiatrists do.

A psychologist can prescribe as well. Typically those that prescribe do that all day every day and see people in 15 minutes slots and do medicine management and not talk therapy.
Talk therapy is usually done my a licensed counselor or social worker.

Yep--
Good one = great experience
Bad one = horrible experience
Definition of a bad one = one who agrees with your spouse

Don't answer this in the affirmative. It is a new ploy to put you on the 'no gun' list.

No. I take my problems out on my wife and kids

I'm married to one.
A psychologist, that is. She does more research than therapy just to clarify.

Yes. I've had good experiences with them. Its important to find one you like and possibly specializes in whatever you're seeking help with. My therapist specialized in dealing with family members of people with Boarderline. I have several people around me with it.

Yes you have to like them and feel able to be completely honest with them
