I see people fly through red lights regularly (i'm not talking about stop-and-go'ing in the 9th ward)

not stopping at 4 way stop signs at all, when they can see no one is coming

parking in the right lane on busy streets

etc.

seems like this was significantly less common just 2-3 years ago.

Not really but I don't live in a heavy carjacking area.

Cities cant keep and get cops... crime increases. Simple equation.

Yep. Cops aren’t giving tickets out in the middle of the city

Red light running has become a huge issue near me. The other day, a giant dump truck ran the red light a good second after the light changed right in front of me. That could have ended poorly.

I see a lot of cars driving around with 1 or no headlights, broken tail lights, running red lights, missing license tags - there just aren't many cops out and the ones that are - they don't seem interested

Have you seen the world lately. People have lost their moral compass.

A significantly less police presence probably has a lot to do with it.

I rarely see cops pulling people over anymore.

I was behind a trooper on I-12 last week on the way to work and a car passed us doing well over 80 and the cop never even flashed his lights.

have you noticed that there are no cops out there to enforce these basic traffic laws lately. I can't tell you the last time i saw a speed trap or some stupid inspection sticker trap.

I'll be honest, i've stopped at red lights and gone through them a good bit lately if there's literally no one around. And i'll run a red light a second late if i have a clear view that there's no one coming from either direction, at common lights i go through daily.

There is a very large lack of cops patrolling the streets for traffic violations in Baton Rouge. When enough people start noticing it, you'll see more and more of people not following the rules. That's basically what Mexico and the rest of the 3rd world countries do on their roadways. it's a free for all.

I noticed when the pandemic started the lack of police presence on roads in BR. I think people are accustomed to this and are willing to take more risks since there's nothing or no one there to enforce the law.

We're obviously all noticing it. I've about had numerous accidents because of people just ignoring the rules of the road.

Absolutely, running of red lights, not yellow that changed, I'm talking it turned red and people fly through it. Pretty common to see that every time I drive.

Lots of street construction near me by the fairgrounds so see lots of people driving the wrong way down the street to save themselves going one more block to get on our street.

I’ve noticed people driving along, see someone they know walking, and stop in the middle of the street to have a conversation. arse holes.
