Has anyone been to the Top Golf Baton Rouge in the last week or so?

Curious if the crowds have tapered off at all?

BTW, do you take your own clubs or just use theirs? How does that work?

A friend of mine went on a weeknight this week & said they had no wait.

You can bring clubs, but it’s really unnecessary if you’re just going for fun.

Yeah, bringing your own clubs to Top Golf is kinda douchey, imo.

I’m expecting it to be extremely busy for the first few months.

You can book a time online.

If you live in the area, just go early in the day on a saturday and put your name on the walk-in waitlist. Got there saturday around 3pm and got a chute for 8pm. Basically, for the next couple of months, you're gonna have to make a day out of it unless you reserve a spot online.

Is it the kind of place you can kill 5 hours? I know they have food and drinks but is it kind of like a Dave & Busters? Or just the chutes. I wouldn't mind waiting an hour or two but 5 is a bit much. I guess if I go I'll book a spot online.

Only by drinking and watching tv. So, yes. But there’s nothing else to do, unless the one in BR is different than all the others.

The one in Houston by Nasa and 45 has a game room with pool tables and arcade games. Filled to the brim with preteens most days though

Well, by make a day out of it, I meant grab some lunch and drinks somewhere. Maybe catch a movie? Fiance and I grabbed some dinner and had some drinks at a friend's and everyone met up when the chute was ready. TopGolf sends you a text when its time to golf. Wasn't that bad tbh.

At our TG location it's $50 to reserve a bay in advance so if you're going with a group and split that up there's really not any reason not to do that.

Also 3pm isn't "early" on a Saturday, not even close. If you're going on a Saturday you probably need to go prior to noon to have a minimal wait.

A friend went last Friday at 1 pm thinking a weekday would be better and there was still a hour and half wait

If you go on a Saturday around 3-4 and put your name down you can leave and go eat or run errands and just come back close to the time they give you. You don't have to stay there for 5 hours.
