The sun came out in Cypress (NW Houston) just now. The last 5 days have been rough - family in Rockport needing my help, making a game with my kid measuring the rising water with little survey flags as it crept closer to the house - knowing there wasn't a way out of our neighborhood.

I came here to get news, vent, and get distracted from all the stuff going on. From the little blue shed to The Cajun Navy - this was a "refuge from the storm". Thanks to all on this board - prayers to all still facing the rains and rebuilding.

A small token of my appreciation:

I Can See Clearly Now

As stupid as this site can get sometimes, it always exceeds expectations (in a good way) when there is a tragedy

Have family in NW Houston, off Bingle/Kempwood. God Blessed them thus far, but the devastation is unbelievable. God Bless you and your family and the entire area for their recovery and loss.

quote:

Zechariah 9:14 - Then the Lord will appear over them, and his arrow will go forth like lightning; the Lord God will sound the trumpet and will march forth in the whirlwinds of the south.

quote:

Matthew 5:45 - So that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

quote:

Luke 8:24 - And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm.

The vast majority of posters on here are good people. Don't let the fools spoil it for everyone else.
