Are you seriously concerned that people don't recognize your day? Do your job and quit worrying about stupid shite. I don't even know when my profession's day is and I couldn't care less.

no one at my office even knows its sys admin day

I like to spread it out to make sure I take up as much time as possible. 
Tomorrow, I'll ask for the title of each user in the domain admin list, and the list of those who know the passwords for the shared accounts, and their titles.
I'll also need a tour of the server room, and I'll comment on the cabling mess being a risk, and wonder why the sticky paper hasn't been changed in a while.
God, we suck.
