#NOPD Says the #HANO officer killed was 45-years-old. Detectives believe the officer was shot while inside his cruiser on Erato Street.

If that officer was on duty and did not have a partner, it is on HANO for negligence.

Someone just lost a son, people lost a coworker, and more importantly a life was lost. A statement like that has got to be one of the most ignorant things I've seen on here. Please let some facts materialize before jumping to conclusions.

The city has been mismanaging and driving law enforcement away with dangerous and incompetent personnel and operational policies combined with the federal government justice department consent decree which exacerbates the problem. One of the issues which one NOPD officer sued over was being forced to do solo patrols into exactly these types of neighborhoods.

Maybe certain facts will delink this shooting to my above opinion, but my conditional "if" statement stands.

In all honesty, I do not believe your statement to be that radical. I am speaking more along the lines of the people responsible for this crime, are in fact, the people committing the crime. I understand the want for additional two man patrols, but the reality is that departments can only do what they can do, with what they have. They still have a job to do and I'm sure they do it to the best of their ability. Sadly we now live in a day and age where authority doesn't mean what it use to, and people commit crimes with little to no consequence.

What color was the officer? This is very important.

Sharpton won't march if he's a "white"

He won't do anything if he is black.

Ironic how there are no riots after a man positioned to protect and serve is innocently shot while sitting in his car, YET a man with a criminal back ground resists arrest being shot causes mass chaos...
