It's cool enough for Miley Cyrus, Jack White, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, et al. Must be alright.

Take away Jack White and add Tim and Faith and that could be the biggest list of non cool people on the planet.

Meh, I went to middle and high school in Franklin and spent a good portion of non-school time there. You can keep Franklin. Outside of downtown, it's plagued by traffic and endless tract housing. Further out in the county is nice, but too expensive when you compare land prices to surrounding counties.

Like Baton Rouge's plague of tract housing communities like Santa Maria and Bocage right? And a majority of Franklin is still zoned 1 Acre and 5 Acre tracts. Combine that with areas that won't perk due to terrain, your post is short sighted to put it nicely.

But I bet you used the public school system while here.

Quibble about Franklin but this tells me it is good to be Tim McGraw when you add this to everything else.

Johnny Depp just moved to Franklin, no?

I listed Franklin in the "under-rated place you discovered" thread a couple of days ago.

It's unbelievable. Minus the little snafu over Mack Hatcher the counties work so well together it's scary.

AMP will be a big one. Folks in Green Hills need to get over themselves.

That new Rochford development off Natchez Trace will be a monster, but only two homes for every 1.2 acre and 450 acres of green space will help. Plus all the restaurants and boutique hotel will be on Davidson side, helping sneed rd out a little

Edit. - Depp is in Bellemeade, JT and Biel are in Franklin

When did you go to school there grandpa? Franklin area is thriving..best public school system in the state, a juggernaut in the westhaven subdivision and quite frankly one of the most desirable areas to live in the country. I live maybe 5 miles from downtown Franklin and if you haven't been here recently you would be blown away.

Compared to baton rouge this area is the garden of Eden.
