I can't remember the last time I saw someone who is actually handicapped get out of a car in a handicap space. Are they just giving these things away?

My doctor gave me one for a badly sprained ankle once that was good for a year

ETA:

I never used it other than big arse mall/movie theater parking lots with tons of open HC spots.

There are things in the world you should let bother you...this isn't one of them.

I'll make it easier for you:

1. Park in a handicapped spot.

2. Look in a mirror.

tl/dr: Who cares?

Being fat is apparently a handicap now. They slide out of their Astro van, waddle into the store and flop down on one of those motorized scooters.

How do you know if someone is handicapped or not?

Handicap tags are either one year or permanent so I guess some people may have them that are no longer injured.

We had to get our pediatrician to approve for our little girl but we can only use it with her in the car which sucks because I can't tell you how many times the spaces are always taken up.
As long as a dr is willing to write you an approval letter they are pretty easy to get.

Ask Tangerine or Supersaint. I'm sure they can answer this.

Just because people look normal doesn't mean they are. Have a friend who has a handicap tag, he looks perfectly normal, but has severe respiratory issues from a chemical exposure, and can only walk a short distance without stopping to rest.

My in-laws have one. Neither one of them is actually handicapped but my MIL is slow to get around.

People use these things like a badge of honor...they will pass up spots that's are actually closer to the front door to park in a handicap spot, my in-laws included.

Was eating lunch one day at a Mexican place in the Berry...Cop pulls into lot and starts dropping tickets on every windshield without the tag. You wanna see some lazy POPS mfer's come running out of the woodworks, that was the day for it.

State needs the money.
Willing to pay, you get the tag.
Love the ones that forget to hang their tag and run back to the car to hang it.
