Just got out of the hospital

Went to go play golf with my friend

When I got home my air conditioned house was unbearably cold

I literally put on a coat and went to sit on the deck

I felt freezing cold, shivering, my extremities were so vasoconstricted and white

I laid in a lukewarm tub for like 5 hours which actually felt really nice my blood vessels started opening up

But then I got out and it just all went awful again. Shivering. Felt worse. Sweating like crazy. Temperature of 104.5. Delirious. Slurring my words. Couldn't remember things.

Called 911, spent 2 days in the hospital. Sucked down probably 6 liters of IV fluids before I started peeing normally again.

Been absolutely exhausted ever since I've been home, like no energy.

It's all fun and games until you start feeling dizzy. Then you can't recover. Heat is no joke.

Did you drink water on the course?

Do you exercise often?

Spend daily time outside?

Just curious as to the cause besides the summer heat.

All this and you didn't bother to post your score?

Glad you're on the mend - a heat stroke is no joke.

That's the gift that keeps on giving for a few years afterward. You'll be very susceptible to a reoccurrence until then.

Yes I actually was very responsible
A few mini gatorades and a decent amount of water
Only 2 alcoholic beverages

I exercise 4 times a week

It didn't feel THAT hot

I have played golf in 100 degrees literally dripping sweat. It just hit me differently today it was weird I was feeling a little light headed towards the end.

If you all would just buy Teslas it wouldn't be so hot outside.

And this is why we have the Heat Index and "Feels Like" temps talked about so much. It matters.

Glad you're on the mend now. I've nearly been there myself. Three or four separate times I've passed out from being too hot. Fortunately I don't handle heat as well, and that comes early enough before something worse sets in. I've always recovered on my own, but two of those times were when I was young and they nearly scared my Mom to death.

Be extremely careful from now on, I have heard that once you have a bad heat related injury you are many times more likely to have more.

Sounds like heat exhaustion, which I’ve had. Still scary.

Well that's not crazy
why did you wait 5 hours in the tub
i'm just trying to ask questions not to make fun of you i'm legit curious do you think it was your mental state being altered that you didn't realize how extreme your reaction was

I was talking with a friend about how we handled the Heat as kids we all act like it's never been this hot before it has we used to run around in it all day long I gotta think our diet all the salt , preservatives that's getting put into food maybe medication that you're taking

long story short, Ever since Trump started trying to fight the elections result I've noticed that there is more heat related injuries
