I don't dislike their music from 30 yrs ago. But I wouldn't spend a nickel to go see old fat men play that music 30 yrs later.
I wouldn't pay to see the Beattles 30yrs after their prime.

Get it? Dudes are probably in their late 50s!

I'm pretty sure the owner of Live Nation lives on the Northshore and was in fact on the Ashley Maddison list.

George, this period of time is the cusp of change from hard rock to grunge. Some liked it, some did not. I did not. I hated that Nirvana shite for a long time, and frankly don't think I ever warmed up to their depressed self-absorbed flannel shirt wearing style.

Consider me as one of the many who became disenfranchised with rock music at that juncture, and just skipped over to the late 90s feel good bull shite and went on from th

I appreciated Nirvana but LOVED Pearl Jam, RHCP, and Stone Temple Pilots more

I was a little young for GnR but did slow dance w my girl to November Rain at the 6th grade dance.

Show was great but agree with the "Upgrade" situation.

Total horseshite we had to stand in line for 30 minutes then be sat on completely the other side of the dome from the people we bought tickets with simply because they walked in before us and got in the upgrade line before we did.

This is what happens when a band doesn't want to see empty seats. The show thought it was better to fill up everything from loge down.

I don't know anyone who had a good experience at a G&R show. Period.

Went to the show last Wednesday in Atlanta. Great experience. Logistics of the concert were fine - no problems at all. Started on time, played everything on the set list and gave everyone their money's worth.

Opening act was The Cult. They were pretty average. Their act just isn't able to fill a big arena at all.

GnR, however, was really good. Overall GnR is still a great band and they put on an entertaining show for 2+ hours. Of course they aren't the same band they were 25 years ago, but still really good. The music (including Slash) is as good as ever. Axl's vocal don't quite match the younger version, but still good.

Did they play Patience?

Agreed. I didn't go for the Cult but had I missed Chris Stapleton or Lenny, I would have been pissed.

it sounds like they didnt want to pay for security, concessions, cleaning, etc... for an extra level as the major issue.
