They annaully graduate less than 30%
Even more sad is that their acceptance rate is 44%
And just for frame of reference, SUNO's graduation rate is 11.5% and their acceptance rate is 20.7%. LSU is is 68.2% and 77% respectively.

Borrowing max loans to accrue a refund to pay for housing, food, utilities, auto.

I'd bet dollars to donuts they took out way more than they needed and spent it on shite they don't need

Absolutely. They prey on young dumb kids with these loans. The whole system is beyond fricked up
This is very much the truth. When I was in college, I used to see and hear people all the time proclaim how happy they were that their "refund check" came in. When you're taking out loans, you shouldn't be looking forward to getting a "refund check". Fast forward to them graduating or completely dropping out, Sallie Mae knocks and asks where's my money brah? I'm so glad I didn't get sucked into that. Luckily for me, my expenses were either paid for by my scholarship, my work study, or my parents.

I had a buddy who went to law school at Southern. He told me about "Pretty Wednesday". I've never been able to stop thinking about it

Majoring in African American studies will pay off in the long run. These statistics need to be patient. In the meantime, Imma use these here loans to go to Cancun. I deserve the mental break.

"these sorts of schools"
Nah, i meant for profit colleges. The Feds should establish a metric tht considers graduation rates and post-college employment rates, and cease student loan funding students at schools that do not meet the metric. Public, private, for-profit, whatever.

search for "pretty wednesday southern" on youtube
Basically, every Wednesday the women show up half naked and there is lots of commotion, dancing, and other shenanigans. There are several videos on youtube. It's insane, to put it lightly.

I shouldn't have to pay back loans because my ancestors were slaves.
