Absolutely. They prey on young dumb kids with these loans. The whole system is beyond fricked up.

Truthfully we need a federal overhaul of the entire student loan system

For starters, the government needs to GTFO of loans

What a disaster

How is it possible for Grambling graduates to rack up more than $50,000 in student-loan debt?

staying in school to keep getting loans is my guess

I wouldn't be surprised if the school doesn't kick people out just to keep the lights on via more loans. They annaully graduate less than 30%

Because they:
A. use those loans to pay for everything but school
B. They never graduate on time, often taking 6-8 years to get a 4 year degree
C. They routinely rack up late fees and interest charges by not paying or paying the minimum every month
D. There's no jobs for them when they graduate so they can't pay down the principle.

C & D don't factor in to the problem at that point. The study refers to when the graduate, not after when the need to repay the loans.

Perhaps it's just my white priv-ludge, but I don't think I've ever known anyone who gradjiated from Grambling.
