One of out poster's elderly parents are in a home in Denham. We have a boat headed that way and we need to be able to launch a boat from the EBR parish side of the river to get to Pete's Hwy behind Walmart. I have been told ONeal is underwater, we need a place to launch a gatortail so he can run and get them. Anyone have some first hand info?

hope you understand that the water crossing the amite is so swift it will drive your boat into trees, please be careful with what your about to do think it over carefully. IMO the best and safest place to launch is off of I-12 and motor down side of interstate towards Bass Pro

man I know y'all want to help but I would not try to cross that river right now. If you get swept down there isn't going to be a damn thing you can do about it.

Do not try and cross that river with that boat, you will not make it, please reconsider bro.the river is a choke point right there the water could be moving 40 mph right there, yes im serious!!! you will be swept into the trees.there is also large debris plowing through there that will hit your boat.
