Only thing I have a problem with is when he brings Christianity into it. Using scripture to advertise your sleazy PI firm is taking the Lord's name in vain if you ask me.

I think he's also been paying Jimmy Details Smith to promote his son as a QB recruit. He keeps slipping him into articles alongside real recruits.

I wonder if the people who defend him would feel the same way if he came from a family of respected OB/GYN's and he did commercials selling abortions.

FYI, two of my company vehicles involved in two separate low speed bump accidents. Total of property damage is $200 in one case (paint scratch buffed out of bumper) and $1000 (slight dent in side of fender) in the other.

Maybe if your people were better drivers you wouldn't have these issues.

WRONG - the number one factor in the cost of insurance is liability for these exact reasons. Same for medical malpractice. This is also the reason the trip-and-fall attorneys fight the "loser pays" avenue for lawsuits.

Squeeze $20K out of the insurance company by "settling" out of court. Cheaper for the insurance company than going to court. All they do is raise our rates to cover those settlements.

And no SJW nonsense on the "unfairness to the little guy" on a loser pays outcome. If the case is strong, plenty of lawyers will take the client. If it is not, get your bumper fixed and take some Advil - if it is really needed.

A great step in reducing these BS lawsuits/settlements and reducing the rates for coverage.

Just not true. Many states including Louisiana have had liability caps in place for years for med mal suits and it hasn't made any dent whatsoever in the cost of healthcare.

Successfully suing for medical malpractice is damn near impossible in Louisiana save for a doctor basically cutting off the wrong limb

Loser pays wouldn't do shite to the auto factory PI firms either. They only take cases where the liability is clear, what's litigated over is damages.

Found the ambulance chaser.

You may be right about our infrastructure and shitty drivers but you're still naive or lying when sue happy lawyers are not part of the problem.

Dude, we need tort reform so badly here in this state. This state has one of the worst, if tho the worst legal climates in the country. It's one good reason why Louisiana has a lot of trouble attracting blue chip businesses to relocate here and grow our economy here.

We will get tort reform inevitably sooner or later and when it happens, business will really boom in this state.

Yeah, fighting for the little guy...

So an employee who is pulling an equipment trailer with a pricey piece on it stops in a gas station to fuel up (in Opelousas ) and after he's done he's having trouble leaving because a young girl in an older white Kia is in the way. He asks her twice to move up just a foot or two. She ignores him. He inches up, inching, inching and manages to rub a bit of trailer tire onto the bumper of her old car. She runs at my guy waving her arms. Her first comment? "I HATE white people!" She asks "what is that thing on the trailer? I like it. I'm going to have it! I'm going to have your truck ,too." Then she gets on the phone and calls her sistahs. "Get over here QUICK" Then she calls the cops. Meanwhile the other girls get there. Cop pulls up and they all roll out of the car holding their necks and crying for an ambulance.

Holy crapola.

The station had security cameras.

Those ads bait that kind of behavior. Damn them.

Yeah this didn't happen.

You admit that Louisiana has bad roads and bridges but in the same post think the magic cure is tort reform? Do you work for LABI or something?

Idk what that means. Please share a nonpartisan study or report that evidences this.

Of all the reasons businesses have to avoid Louisiana, I have a hard time believing tort reform is high up on the list.

I'm not sure if I would be so offended at McKernan using bible verses if they weren't so seemingly random and unrelated to frivolous lawsuitery, not to mention the fact that they all insist on capitalizing random words so that it looks like it was written by an illiterate 9 year old.
