Douchebag is playing softball while his toddler wanders away, lost. Man sees the obviously lost toddler and starts looking for the toddler's parents. Dad sees the man and gives him a beatdown, and then is unapologetic when he learns that the man was trying to help the kid.

On top of that, he then posts a bunch of trash on Facebook about the good samaritan.

quote:

A Florida man trying to help a lost toddler was beaten by the girl's father, who mistakenly thought she was being abducted, police said. “When I got there, I just swung on him," Austin Strickler told WFTS-TV. He was playing softball when his daughter wandered away, he said.

quote:

He said he did not regret hitting the man. "You don’t pick up somebody’s kid," he said.

quote:

After the attack, the dad and several others took to social media, naming the citizen, posting photos of him and his family and making derogatory comments.

Good Samaritan

Yeah, I read about this. Worst part of the story is frickers like that are allowed to have kids.

This will definitely make me think twice about helping strangers, especially kids.

Can the good Samaritan not press charges on this douchebag?

Edit
quote:

The citizen declined to press charges because he said he understood, as a parent, the fear of a child being abducted, police said.

Frick that. Id press charges on that dumbass

Yeah instead of being a man and apologizing after the police released what really happened, the father doubled down and kept going after the good samaritan.

Policy as a man in today's twisted society should be: don't speak to women or children ever, for any reason.

People are nuts nowadays. See a kid walk out into traffic? See a woman unknowingly drop something out of her purse? Doesn't matter...keep your head down and keep right on moving. No sense in intervening, lest you be called a pedophile or accused of sexual harassment.

Hope he changes the mind after the guy went to Facebook to defame him. The father is an idiot and I hope he gets what's coming.

Why wasn't father charged with assault?

Also could bring in child welfare to take the kid. they could show him what being a dick is.

I love people who don't pay attention to their kids but lose their shite at any perceived wrong directed at their child.

I am not a fan of lawsuits. This guy deserves one slapped on him and the jackals that defamed the Good Samaritan on Facebook.

My 2 year old "escaped" form her preschool years ago. If it wasn't for a good Samaritan, who knows.

My main regret is that the Samaritan got her to the school, then left. I never got to thank him

If I were the good Samaritan I would do exactly what the a-hole parent did and release his name and pictures of him on Facebook and let the court of public opinion rip this guy a new one.

His name is in the comments, have fun.

edit:

This one has both their names and a lot more to the story.

39 year old Indian guy and a 22 year old white guy father. Apparently Lakeland gave the good Samaritan a trespass.
